“An xpressive, immersive multi-sensory Xperience in Armagh City”
The sensory Xperience offers an exclusive, innovative, safe and welcoming, multi-sensory environment, spread across a variety of differing spaces. We are more than a sensory room - we are a multi-sensory centre with 6 areas to enjoy! Our visitors can also practice their Occupational Therapy plans and have some sensory fun!
We are confident that our range of specialised equipment will benefit all people with additional needs, regardless of age or ability. We cater for families, individuals, community groups and clubs, schools and colleges, nursing homes and supported living services, and we also offer a private session option. We can also host your birthday party or special celebration with all food and refreshments provided and can create individualised packages.
We have two autistic sons that both absolutely love this space and we see how much it benefits them in so many ways.

Ciaran and Colleen invites you to explore our exciting multi-sensory centre, carefully and thoughtfully designed, using our own life experiences together with advice from an Occupational Therapist, to provide benefits to people of all ages who present with additional needs or a disability.
As a family run project, we provide a friendly, user focused, and easily accessible resource, that caters for individuals, families and groups. With our multi-sensory centre being the first of our kind in Armagh, and one of the only multi-sensory centres countrywide, we are happy and proud to be providing something new, unique, innovative and inclusive for those who deserve this fun sensory intervention in their lives!
The variety of sensory rooms provide sensory stimulation and regulation and is an ideal environment for sensory seekers. We are also here to provide advice and support to parents and carers where we can.
Our multi-sensory centre offers users access to 4 sensory rooms, each with different functions, spread across our 2,000 sq ft premises, so there is something for everyone. The sensory Xperience provides a safe and secure space that is welcoming, stimulating, educational and relaxing. We also offer something a little extra for parents and carers, with a designated area for them to enjoy. Here they can enjoy a complimentary cuppa whilst being relaxed in the knowledge their loved ones are safe, secure and enjoying their experience.
We have our own personal and life experience in the area of additional needs and disabilities. The sensory Xperience was created because of our two amazing sons who both have a range of additional needs, including sensory issues.
Relying on a combination of our own life experiences and the knowledge gained from designing our multi-sensory centre, we are now also designing and supplying sensory equipment and resources. This includes the design and install of complete sensory environments. Ciaran has designed and developed our very own range of sensory equipment which includes fully bespoke sensory resources. A sensory room, or multi-sensory room, is an environment that can help stimulate, develop and relax the senses. It can help self-regulate the users’ behaviours which will help with focus and can aid with interaction and social skills.
Sensory equipment has been shown to improve language, cognitive and motor skills and helps people develop and engage senses.

Research has shown that a sensory room, or multi-sensory room, can relieve anxiety and stress and have emotional regulatory benefits. They can help manage sensory overload, stimulate cognitive function, improve fine and gross motor skills, and help improve behaviours.
Sensory rooms can benefit individuals with learning, intellectual and physical disabilities, mental health issues and neurodivergent conditions.

“Snoezelen Rooms”, now commonly known as sensory rooms, or multi-sensory rooms, were specifically developed in the 1970’s for individuals with severe or profound and multiple disabilities. They are now used in so many settings and organisations.
A sensory room is a specially design space equipped with sensory equipment and resources to engage and regulate the senses. Sensory rooms are a space for sensory exploration and self regulation. We have observed our visitors and have seen them explore and regulate, gain confidence and really enjoy The sensory Xperience.

Sensory integration is a term that has been used to describe processes in the brain that allow us to take information we receive from our senses, organize it, and respond appropriately.
We are working in partnership with an Occupational Therapist that also is a sensory Integration specialist.

Book individual or family sessions in our brilliant, innovative multi-sensory centre. Admission grants use of all 4 multi-sensory rooms as well as access to our carers area. Our exciting variety of rooms are suitable for people of all ages and abilities with additional needs. At various times during the year, such as summer holidays, Easter and Christmas, we run special events, like our Summer Scheme, Easter Scheme, or Santa & Mrs Claus event. We also run carer focused workshops and free information events. Our centre is also available to hire should you wish to run your own workshop, or have some private family time. We also cater for birthday parties and other special occasions for people with additional needs along with their family and friends. We take the stress out of your celebration as much as we can, as we provide food, party bags, hot refreshments for adults in attendance and a sensory gift for the celebrant. We can accommodate all ages of pupils and students with special educational needs on school trips and tours. Schools and colleges can simply explore and enjoy our multi-sensory centre, for various lengths of sessions, or we can tailor your Xperience with some additional fun-filled activities. We can also open up The Party Room for your class to have their snack or lunch and we can provide food options for both pupils and staff. Please contact us for further details of what we offer!

Community groups and organisations, big or small, can reserve our multi-sensory centre to explore exclusively by themselves. Gain access to all 4 multi-sensory rooms and access to our carers area. Or for a more tailored Xperience we also run more focused workshops and activities to add to your enjoyment. We can also provide various food options on request. We offer individual and group bookings for care home/assisted living residents and have also provided our services to a number of health and social care trusts. We will also be beginning to offer day opportunities sessions once a month, catering for young and old alike. Please contact us if you work in a trust, care home or assisted living setting and would like to book residents in, or to find out details about our day opportunities sessions!
