Please see below details of testimonials from some of our wonderful visitors, inspiring parents, community group leaders, professionals and also from professionals that we have worked with during our journey!!!
“Our son, Pearse, is 3 ½ and has a rare neuromuscular condition causing severe muscle weakness, physical disability and complex medical needs. Our daughter, Eve, is nearly six and does not have any additional needs.
When Pearse finally got home from hospital spending quality time together as a family became very important to us. However, it felt like there was nowhere to go that could cater to Pearses needs but also keep Eve occupied and entertained and where we felt together as a family. Then we find the Sensory Xperience. It is our absolute favourite place to go as a family. Both children really enjoy it. Pearse gets a chance to try things in a safe and accessible way like the ball pool and the touch screen computer. Eve also enjoys everything the centre has to offer and it is a space that allows her to regulate and in a very overstimulating and overwhelming world (my husband and I benefit and get regulated too tbh!)
Colleen and Ciaran are brilliant. They are so supportive and helpful and truly understand the difficulties experienced as a parent carer.
The centre is so clean and safe with so much thought given to the layout and the equipment in place. New things are added on a regular basis which always makes the centre so interesting to visit.
Schemes are always run during holiday time which both Pearse and Eve enjoy attending as they are full of fun and they get to make lots of new friends.
Pearse celebrated his third birthday at The Sensory Xperience and we had a large group of all ages and abilities there. We had amazing feedback about the party and how much everyone enjoyed the atmosphere and the centre itself.
The Sensory Xperience is for everyone and in our opinion everyone should experience it!”

“This wonderful place provides my children with various sensory experiences.
The space is carefully designed to provide "just the right" challenge regardless of ability. The activities require the child to give an adaptive response, promote motivation and engagement with a wide choice of activities and free play experience, without any pressure.
The safe large and small pieces of equipment provide intense proprioceptive, vestibular, and tactile experiences. My children are free to explore the equipment, play and interact in an environment that has a variety of specialized equipment. The place is always clean and tidy.
The environment offers reassurance, safety and nurturing for the whole family. My son can be himself in a public place with no judgement placed on him, his sibling or me as a parent.
I had my son’s 9th Birthday party here in January. Such a great time had by all the family. They team went above and beyond.
Colleen and Ciaran offer such great advice, support and make you feel heard and seen as a parent with additional needs. The warm welcome and a cuppa is much appreciated always.
As a Clinical Reflexologist, I have hired the venue to provide workshops to Children and Adults with additional needs. The space is an excellent choice of hire venue due to the safe and relaxed environmental opportunities and atmosphere it offers. The participants who enjoyed the workshops loved the experience and space, the warm welcome offered and the enthusiasm which all added to it. Nothing is ever a trouble to Colleen and Ciaran. The equipment that is available is second to none. Quality, first class and safe. It offers so many therapeutic benefits to all not only adult/child but the carer can feel a restful experience, a much needed break.
Keep up the amazing work folks”

“As someone deeply passionate about child development, I cannot recommend The sensory Xperience in Armagh highly enough. This incredible facility is a game-changer for children with additional needs, providing a safe, calming, and engaging environment where they can explore, learn, and thrive.
The attention to detail in creating a multi-sensory space that supports emotional regulation, cognitive development, and overall well-being is truly remarkable. From the carefully curated lighting and textures to the interactive elements designed to stimulate and soothe, every aspect of The sensory Xperience is tailored to meet the needs of each individual child.
I see first-hand how crucial sensory play is for emotional and cognitive growth. The sensory Xperience offers a space where children can develop essential skills while feeling secure and understood. It’s not just a facility; it’s a haven for children and families who need it most.
I wholeheartedly recommend The sensory Xperience to any parent or professional seeking a nurturing environment for children with additional needs. It’s a place where potential is unlocked, confidence is built, and every child is celebrated for who they are.”

“The Sensory Xperience has been a weekly resource for our family. My son Theo adores the dark room and the calming sensory lights. It’s his favourite place to relax and feel safe. Leon loves getting creative, building houses, and playing alongside other children in an inclusive, welcoming space. Both boys can’t get enough of the ball pit and the interactive game room—it’s always a highlight of our visits!
We especially appreciate the schemes that introduce our children to new therapies in fun, engaging ways. It is a perfect SEN community hub in the heart of Armagh. Highly recommend!”

“We have been attending the Sensory Xperience for over a year now with my Autism Specific Class. The sensory input the children receive is so rewarding to watch. The children count down the days to the next visit each month. At The sensory Xperience there are areas to regulate fine and gross motor skill, Interactive boards to allow the children to learn educationally through play and calming areas or those seeking calmness. You are made feel so comfortable as soon as you walk through the doors from Colleen and Ciaran and the children are in a safe space to be themselves. We look forward to continuing our visits with you.”

“I have taken two children I work with to The sensory Xperience in Armagh on a few different occasions, with one being for the summer scheme which was brilliant. When we first arrived we were shown about by Colleen and Ciaran and were made to feel very welcome. I loved seeing the children being comfortable in their surroundings, regulated and engaging, and most of all having fun in an inclusive environment!”

“A wee collage from a previous outing to The Sensory Xperience where everyone had a really great time. We have been various times and each time all enjoyed the craic and there was plenty to keep all entertained. It’s very popular with all ages but what some people might not realise it is also suitable for adults and the added bonus that you can also have something to eat/drink and relax also. We definitely recommend it and look forward to going back asap.”

“Thank you to the fabulous hosts Colleen, Ciaran and the Sensory Xperience team for facilitating a wonderful day, celebrating the special occasion of International Angelman Day on the 15th February 2025. It is a special date in our Angelman community to meet up and celebrate our wonderful children living with Angelman Syndrome. As we are a small community varying in ages, the Sensory Xperience suited the needs of our Angelman UK families who came from all over the island of Ireland. Our party was booked for 4 hours to enjoy spending important time together. Colleen and Ciaran looked after us all with delicious hot food and drinks and made us feel very welcome.
The sensory Xperience is an awesome place to have a party. Our families from Angelman UK had fun exploring the interactive sensory experiences. Beautiful colour changing fibre optic lights cascaded down as we moved between the play zones. The kids were mesmerised in the vibrant sensory wonderland. The ball pool with the ball shower was a favourite and kept the children and siblings entertained. Some of the young adults enjoyed decorating canvases in the art room or having time on the rolling slide. It is a beautiful, unique and impressive venue immersed in lovely colour, mirrors with stunning proprioceptive, vestibular and tactile stimulation for all ages and abilities. In addition to having fun, the superb range of sensory toys also provided vital therapeutic benefits to our children. It was a joy to see them all happy and smiling together.
The kids loved their International Angelman Day party, complete with surprise party bags from Colleen at the door to finish. Thank you Colleen and Ciaran for making it so special for us. We will definitely be back.”
